M. Maheswari is a 35 years old women living in remote village called P.P. Kulam
at Kadambadi block. She has three children and all are studying in the school.
Her husband is daily labourer and earns very little for the family. She found
difficult to support her family with her husband earning. So she joined in the
women self help group organized a year back. She is attending the group
meeting regularly and expresses her views to solve the problems existing in her
village. Her involvement in her group brought a grade to her group after the
evaluation.
As being an enthusiastic woman she applied for the institutional loan and
received an amount of Rs. 5000 as interest free loan. From her own savings,
she put another seven thousand rupees and purchased a cow. At present she is
very happy about income receive from this milch animal. She supports her
family and run it happily.
