WHAT IS IT?
Mundo con M de Mujer (World with “W” from Woman) is a campaign which is carried out by PROYDE Asturias to raise the voice to denounce the unjust situation in which millions of women all over the world have to live, to make it possible for all of us (men and women) to act together and change the world.
Mundo con M de Mujer is a web of women who are sharing their testimonies with the male and female visitors of the page.
Mundo con M de Mujer is calling for inner thinking and analysis on the personal and collective attitudes.
Mundo con M de Mujer is the women´s web that makes the world rolling.
WHY?
Mundo con M de Mujer is an initiative form PROYDE which follows Millennium Development Goal number 3. This project´s main goal is the fighting against the oblivion that millions of women who are working on the construction of a fairer world, for both men and women, suffer.
The International Conferences held in Cairo and Beijing, pointed out that without considering and overcoming sex discrimination development and democracy would never exist. It is said in Beijing´s declaration:
"Equitable social development that recognizes empowering the poor, particularly women living in poverty, to utilize environmental resources sustainably is a necessary foundation for sustainable development".
PROYDE
PROYDE (Promotion and Development) is an altruistic NGO founded in 1988 with a main social aim: The cooperation to development. It is said in its statutes: The goal of the association is the promotion and development of the inhabitants of the third world countries by the carrying out of different types of cooperation projects.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
Mundo con M de Mujer is a dynamic web project, carried out thanks to the participation of men and women all over the world, you could take part by:
- Sharing a woman real history: your own testimony, or the one by a woman who wants to take part. You could upload your testimony in a text file, with or without images or in a video file.
- Spreading this project in community centres, schools, High Schools, universities, associations…you can contact with PROYDE to know the initiatives we are working on.
- Getting informed on the reality of millions of women all over the world. Fight to change the structures that produce the injustice they are subdued to. Get implicated, Act.
SHARE YOUR HISTORY
You could upload a real woman´s testimony in a text file, with or without images or in a video file. You should go to the area called PARTICIPA - COMPARTE TU HISTORIA and fill the following areas

You can upload your testimony in English, French or Portuguese, with Spanish translation if possible. If you cannot translate it the translation will be done by PROYDE.
